We regret to inform our regular customers that Mo-Dachaidh will no longer be available for holiday lets, after this season.
We hope to use the cottage more ourselves and our family, as we approach retirement.
We wish to thank all our past visitors for their custom, and for your very kind comments and feedback. We especially thank our regular guests for their loyalty, and to all of you who have left the house in such clean and tidy condition (much appreciated by Wilma and her team!)
We apologise for the inevitable disapppointment, already expressed by several of you, and hope that you will continue to return to Portmahomack.
We will be removing this website in the near future.
Best wishes to all of you.

Having returned home to Germany, we now find the time to thank you for a great holiday. Our two weeks in the cottage were wonderfully relaxing (in spite of the nearly daily visists of "RAF midges"). The cottage offers everything you can possibly expect in a holiday home, ... and much, much more.
The interior is a very high standard and on our arrival it was as spic and span as one can imagine. (We found that a bit less astonishing when we saw the four-strong cleaning squad headed by your nice sister Wilma, which took over when we left)
The lovely walk along the lonely beach to Inver is about 6.5 kilometres one way, so it was a good idea to put in a rest at the pub there. (but it is closed from 4.00 to 7.00 pm)
The cliffs at Tarbertness lighthouse offered an unforgettable scene for our picnic, celebrating Sibyl's birthday.
We hope very much to be able to return to Mo-Dhachaich in two years, especially as the rate is really fair.

Our second visit to this beautiful cottage. A feeling of instant relaxation as you approach the house. We enjoyed an evening out at the Oyster Catcher and many evenings in watching the sunset. A lovely part of the world and the perfect location to explore from.

Travelled over two days to stay in your wonderful beachhouse. We stayed with my sister and brother and their partners. The house is absolutely fabulous. Everything has been thought of. It's home from home. Wonderful outlook both front and back. Saw dolphins once outside the house and saw seals in Loch Fleet and at The Lighthouse. Would recommend a visit to the Tarbat Discovery Centre - very interesting but needs support to save it from closure. The village is lovely and everyone you meet is friendly. And there's loads of places for seafishing if that's your interest.
Would definitely consider a return visit and would recommend Mo-Dhachaidh highly to anyone wanting to visit that area. Thanks from all of us to Wilma and Heather, and special thanks to Shirley and Ross for the pleasure of staying in such a lovely beachhouse. As others have said, you feel you want to stay forever.
